• Water Bottle - This will be with you always; this needs a twist-on type of lid

 

UNDER THE BUS

• One Suitcase (Carry-on Type)

• Bedding - (blankets, pillow)

• Church Clothes for Temple

• Clothing for 4 days (all modest and within Strength of Youth guidelines – no sleeveless tops, no inappropriate T-shirt slogans, nothing tight or revealing). One outfit for the Temple (with appropriate shoes), This outfit may also be worn on Sunday. (White shirts will need to be hung up between wear so bring a hanger) Remember:

  • One outfit for the temple (with appropriate church shoes.)

  • Comfortable and modest travel clothes.

  • Clothes appropriate for touring sites in Nauvoo–modest, cool, comfortable, not ‘grubby’

  • Modest pajamas

  • Underwear and socks

  • Sturdy, comfortable walking shoes

  • Flip flops for use only in showers (optional)

  • Rain poncho and light jacket

• Toiletries - Place in Ziplock bag (soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, brush, razor, make-up, etc.)

• Towel and Wash Cloth

• Sunscreen

• Insect Repellent

• Sunglasses

• Hat

• Bag for Dirty Laundry

• Camera (optional)

• Flashlight

 

ELECTRONIC DEVICES

Cell phones are permitted as long as they are used in an appropriate manner and at appropriate times. They may be used to take pictures, access scriptures, read books, listen to music, etc., especially on the long bus ride, but should generally be turned off/put away during any group discussions/activities, and before entering the temple. 

 

We want this trip to be memorable for the time you spend with one another. Please make sure your electronic device does not distract you or others from participating and feeling the spirit as we visit these sacred sites. 

 

Please note there is very limited cell service in Nauvoo itself. Also, please be aware that any electronic devices you bring are done so at your own risk.
